Bruce Kilgore’s basketball sneaker he introduced all the way in 1982 is recognized more as a lifestyle sneaker in modern times. The Air Force 1 has taken on countless color ways and also partnered with numerous names in the footwear and fashion industry for a collaboration. With that said, the Nike Air Force 1 Low First Use Light Stone might just be one of the cleanest renditions we’ve seen in a while.
This AF1 Low works atop a neat blend of smooth suede and leather, paired with mesh to deliver a premium look and lightweight feel. The colour blocking sees earthy tones for a clean look but slightly elevated with burnt orange marking the heel overlay.
As for the iconic Swoosh logo on the lateral sides, it has been withdrawn in favor’s of an outlined Swoosh instead with the date “June 18 1971” imprinted next to it to pay homage to the day the logo was officially trademarked. Additional touches include vintage branding on the heels and tongues and metallic Swoosh lace durbars in a gold finish.
